SURF LESSONS

2-Mile Surf Shop and Bolinas Surf Lessons have partnered to offer you the best surfing and retail experience possible.

Bolinas Surf Lessons offers both private and group lessons.

Weekend Group Class
Bolinas Surf Lessons offers Adult beginner Group Classes on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday for $50 per person. Classes last 1½ hours. These classes are designed for beginner and first time surfers and will focus on surfing rules, etiquette and wave riding fundamentals. Class size is kept small (usually 3 to 6 people max) to ensure students receive the personal attention they need to develop their surfing skills. Advance registration is recommended to attend Group Classes. Group Classes are offered year round. Surf equipment (board, suit, and boots) will be available to rent from 2 Mile Surf Shop for your lesson.

When using our on line schedule to join our beginner surf class you must reserve a space for each person that plans to attend. Last minute drop-ins can only join the class if there is room. When you arrive at the 2 Mile Surf Shop you can pay for your rental gear needed for the lesson.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are available for 1 to 20 people and can be scheduled for all ages. Come alone and receive one on one instruction or bring as many friends or co-workers as you like. Surf lessons are a great activity to learn with the encouragement of your friends or can be a great team building exercise. Private lessons last 1½ hours and cost $110 for the first person and $30 for each additional participant. Private lessons are offered year round and can be schedule for any time during the week or on the weekend. Surf equipment (board, suit, and boots) will be available to rent from 2 Mile Surf Shop for your lessons.

When scheduling a private surf lesson for more than one person in our on line schedule, just reserve and pay for one person and bring as many of your friends as you like. When you arrive at the 2 mile surf shop you can pay for your rental gear and the additional participants. It is recommended that groups over 3 call or email us after scheduling on line so that we will have the appropriate number of boards suits and instructors available schedule for your lesson.

Kids 1 hour Private lessons
Kids 1 hour private lessons can be scheduled for any number of kids, 12 and under. These lessons are available during the week or on the weekends in the summer months only and can be a great way for you child to be introduced to surfing. Kids 1 hour lessons focus on the basics in safety and technique. Kids 1 hour Private lessons cost $80 for first kid and $30 for each additional kid. Surf equipment (board, suit, and boots) will be available to rent from 2 Mile Surf Shop for your lessons.

Participation agreements must be signed by each child's actual parent or legal guardian. No exceptions!

Lesson Packages

Private Package of 3
In the Private Package of 3 you will receive 3 Private lessons and a Bolinas surf lesson t-shirt for $295. Surf equipment (board, suit and boots) is available to rent from 2 Mile Surf Shop.

Private Package of 6
In the Private Package of 6 you will receive 6 Private lessons and a Bolinas Surf Lesson t-shirt for $545. Surf equipment (board, suit and boots) is available to rent from 2 Mile Surf Shop.

Standard Package
IIn the Standard Package you will receive 1 Group Class, 2 Private lessons and a Bolinas Surf Lessons t-shirt for $255. Surf equipment (board, suit and boots) is available to rent from 2 Mile Surf Shop.

Lesson Packages are specially designed for students interested in developing their surfing skills quickly and also make a great gift.

All Equipment is rented from the 2 Mile Surf Shop and will be reserved for your lesson. Rental equipment can be kept for the entire day or for a ½ day. Equipment includes: Foam board, 4/3mm wetsuit and booties.

Please arrive at least ½ hour before your lesson if you need to rent equipment. Lessons will be cancelled if student arrives more than thirty minutes late.

You can cancel a lesson 48 hours prior to its scheduled time with no penalty. However, there are no refunds if you cancel within 48 hours or do not show up for your lesson.

Bolinas Surf Lessons accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Summer Surf Camp

In conjunction with Bolinas Surf Lessons we will be offering four day surf camps almost every week this summer.

Camp Registration Form Release of Liability Waiver

With over 10 years experience Bolinas Surf Lessons is the only insured surf camp operating in Marin County.

Each 4 day camp will involve a full day of surfing, boogie boarding and hanging out on Bolinas beach, the Bay Areas safest beginner beach.

Your child will receive personal instruction in the water and on the beach from our best instructors. Our camps focus on maintaining a safe learning environment, that is why we will only take 12 kids per camp max. In the water your child will be guided by Bolinas Surf Lessons best instructors ( 4 kids per instructor). On the beach your child will receive instruction in surfing fundamentals, safety and etiquette. Your child will also learn about how the environment affects surfing through storms, wind, tides and pollution. Whether your child has never surfed or would like to improve their surfing skills, our summer camps are the right choice.

Camp Schedule & Cost:
Monday to Thursday - 9:30 a.m. meet at 2 Mile Surf Shop to be fitted for wetsuit and board. 3:30 p.m. Pick up kids at the 2 mile Surf Shop. Camp cost is $400 per four day camp.

Short sleeve or short leg wetsuits, Shoes, iPods or video games.

Kids must be able to swim!

Pre-registration discount:
Register before May 30th and receive $40 discount.

2 week discount:
Register for 2 or more weeks and receive an additional $20 off each week of camp.

To register and reserve a space in the camp please complete a registration form, read and sign the release of liability waiver, and mail or fax back with 50% payment. All cancellations must be made four weeks prior to the first day of camp. All cancellations made within four weeks will result in a 100% penalty of deposit. Missed days of camp are not refundable and are non-transferable. Remaining balance is due on or before the first day of camp.
