Clandestine morning as dark beholds the worker bee.  Obsidian moments, guided by moonlight, are best suited for solitary missions and pure serenity.  A slight dip in temp to 54F but winds remain nil and high pressure + heat will ultimately rule the day.  Metaphorical swells in play though with minor intensity.  Still emitting blips that have slide potential and developing stoke on the incoming tide push.  There are choices to be made so contemplate well and make the wise decision.

CHANNEL:  A velvety morning unbroken by light or sound.  With the sun rising over the hills the true nature reveals itself.  Bobbers and sinkers in conjunction with peaky poppers yielding unconditional lefts and budding rights along the Mali-Bo inlet.  A lack of wind allows for the aquatic formulas to arrive upon our shores and showcase their directional aptitude.  While generous in nature, still humble in stature.



PATCH:  Prescient S swell arriving for the night crawler congregation.  An overnight delivery JIT.  Parabolic prototypes and traditional shapes share space and time this fair Fall morning.  While air temps begin to dip the water temp holds form and remains generally warm and inviting.  More water will lend the helping hand some may need while boil avoidance is the recommended course of action for those currently venturing forth.

A verdant morning is upon us with calming temps of 57F and a stillness to slow one's heart.  We find clearing skies and blurry eyes in the early climes as resourceful sliders are upon the oceanic offerings. With both tide and temps climbing to nascent levels the stoke meter begins to flicker and modulate to the right.  New beginnings are more than possible today as clean slates allow for endless opportunities.

CHANNEL:  A percolation driven by NW windswell and a budding SW swell has all hands on deck and others filing this direction.  Periodic placid waters are broken by swells of a modest nature and has riders up and flowing through the Mali-Bo destination.  A backdrop worthy of a painting makes for a more than satisfactory session in the making. 



PATCH:  Shore slappers and knee clappers are the fare for the day.  No current takers with the southern cousin delivering positive vibes.  Though intermittent rumbles can be observed it is of a less than magnanimous nature. Tides on the rise may give more cause to pause and scrutinize.  Be the anti lemming and follow your heart to the ultimate reward.

The dawn of new seasons and spiritual squeegees is upon us as brilliant sunshine tumbles through dark gray fog. Though a definite autumn chill hangs in the air at present, warmer conditions will prevail as afternoon grows long. Minimal seas activity means maximum parking and fewer than a handful are attempting to mine stoke from the blue depths at this hour. Expectations should be tempered and charts observed should you make the plunge today, as it will be a day to seek the ocean's forgiveness and blessings.

CHANNEL:  Blinded by the light, as the horizon dots with fishing boats and rays of golden intensity. A single slider seeks stoke as morning becomes electric, though what he finds may be all in the mind, as the body seems only to sit upon calm waters. You were wrong when you said everything's going to be alright.



PATCH:  Tribesman of carbon paddle and voluminous board make the Patch their own private Idaho at present. This trio of conquistadors seeks subjugation as paddles fly fast and furious. The ocean is defiant, and gives no quarter where none is earned. Look past the luncheon hour if you choose to seek satisfaction on this day.

A deepening gray and a heavy humidity finds itself firmly wedged into one's state of being as we greet the day. Empty sheets become empty streets as parking is ample if one is seeking a sample. The menu's offerings may leave slider's hearts and minds deeply unsatisfied, as regional lakes offer more shapes at present. The tides are your guide, and water levels will dictate any available stoke. 

CHANNEL:  A solitary sentinel sits astride foam and fiberglass, and gazes upon the shadows of barges and trawlers in the distance. Though one must admire the dedication, it is not unreasonable to question the decision. Later hours should provide marginal angles on which to ply one's trade, but now is simply not the time.



PATCH:  The district sleeps alone tonight, after the bars turn out their lights. A stranger with a door key, explaining "I'm just visiting". The patience of ancients may be required of sliders this fine day, as pockets of stoke will be shallow, and largely filled with rusty pennies, scraps of paper, and keys that open no doors.

Blinding sunlight meets deep water horizons as we greet yet another morning in the coastal town that they forgot to close down. A invasive chill holds the air at present, but is not expected to last, as summer shall make herself known as hours pass. Possibility lies just around the bend, as water levels are all over the road, like the hero of an early Irish novel. Swells bend and send and disappear, as we look towards the afternoon hours with hope for stoke.

CHANNEL:  Rays of sun careen off lefts coming fast and furious. Height seems smaller from beaches than in the breech. Angles more aggressive than usually on display, though only a determined few are currently hunting. Lower water levels should bring windows through which to climb. Let not yourself be misled.



PATCH:  Empty and alive she cried. A wasteland of dashed dreams and broken hearts. There are unacceptable levels of blue at current hours, but as day passes, shapes should reveal themselves if you know where to begin the search. A day to play blind man's bluff with the key-chain.

Sunshine beating down on the water and wonderful reflections of light brighten our town. Warmth can be felt in the sun beams but when abandoned the temperature bottoms out at 55F so keep your knit caps on for now. Warm weather will be upon us today as the hours pass into the early and mid afternoon. Bring your sun chair and sunblock and enjoy sunny September.

CHANNEL:  A bright reflection keeps us from seeing what truly lies within but from the shielded looks of things - it could suffer improvement. Knee high rumblers tumbling in at very slow speeds so paddle like hell and don't look back.



PATCH:  Nothing there and nobody trying. Why not jump in and be the first to make a bold statement.

Forever frisky as sunlight beams down upon and temps hold at 52F in the undeveloped morning.  A buzz begins as the weekend unfolds with ambition and optimism at an all-time high.  With swells blending and relenting there are still some waves of virtue and continuance to be had though size has come down to minor levels.  There is something for everyone today if you know at which level to stand. 

CHANNEL:  A diminished apparition with port yielding direction has riders up and down whilst seeking slides of true duration.  The cacophony deafens as weekend warriors file beach-ward and car alarms sound off in the distance.  With minimal tidal change - what you see is likely what you'll get.  What value can be placed on serenity now?

A presumptive chill descends in the early hours as temps dip to 52F.  Wisps of fog at a terrestrial level with clearing skies of indigo above.  A distilled calm infused with periodic excitement as SW swell permeates the realm and NW windswell grows with stern demeanor.  Temper expectations to a reality based level and be satisfied at the core.  Hunters and seekers will be duly rewarded today as slides are available if not abundant.  

CHANNEL:  Those that stand tall mix with those that lay prone in a wonderful interpretation of harmony.  All preconceived notions are put aside as classes mix and waves are shared.  Truly a scene to warm even the coldest of dark hearts.  With combination swell angles feeding the fire there are more short-lived rides than those with high virtue.  All are worth a look and most generate attempts.  Explore and expand your personal horizons and be amazed at what may lay just around the next bend in the road.

A dour, dank and semi-delineated morning is upon us.  Micro mist and 57 degrees F with no wind to disrupt the calm.  The introductory rain showers have whet our appetites for more though current skies remain relatively clear with patchy clouds forming figures from our deepest imagination.  For now a NW windswell has come to visit with a longer period SW swell migrating up the coast.  These two friends will play nice and remit a viable entity upon which slides can be obtained.  Those that look will see and suit up in rubber to ply their morning trade. 

CHANNEL:  A purposeful crew has set forth to find rides of caliber to match their skill-set.   A reconfiguration of swells is slapping up against the Groin sandbars which sit firmly planted and ready for all comers.  With a hazy horizontal backdrop the seas are soothing and inviting with deliverance of left borne rollers that will pique all interests. Timing and locational aptitude will yield that which you so desperately want today.

A deceptive 56 degrees as the fog begins to peel itself from the rocky shores. One knows that a storm brews on the horizon, and with it will arrive tumult and chaos upon the seas. For now, a literal and figurative calm holds court. Dogs chase thrown spheres of felt and rubber as shadows strike curious poses on concrete pillars, and one gazes with longing towards the seas. Something wicked this way comes indeed, though largely in the form of dreaded onshore zephyrs. Ever forward.

CHANNEL: A lone figure sits atop foam and resin and looks towards a muddled horizon. The black-clad warrior bobs and weaves and searches, with increasing frustration, for shapes of merit. He seeks justice.....DENIED.


PATCH: A forlorn and lonely patch greets seeker and sliders, as many eyes gaze upon it's playing field. No movement stirs, and rumblings of defeat and dismay are heard upon curled lips.  Not one amongst them makes motions towards the chilly water, as they know, in their dark souls, the futility of such action. Hours are spent on killing time again, and waiting for the rain.

The first hint of fall, as morning air provides a bit of bite. Fog and gloom give way to rays of salvation and sunlight, but be mindful, as the zephyrs have another agenda as day grows long. The mid-morning provides a window to a well-measured stoke, as tidal prods and mythical gods provide a long needed shock to the system, as well as to multiple monkeys. Watch the winds, as they will show the way, and act as creator and destroyer.

CHANNEL: Micro-peelers and faith healers meet in shallow waters currently. a half dozen are in attendance , though it seems only the need to be among the creatures of the sea that sustain these sliders. Mild shapes are inspiring swirling shoulder and focused retinas, yet mostly without success. Tide plus time will yield benefits, until they don't.


PATCH: Hanging on in quiet desperation. A terrible beauty. Nothing equals nothing. An empty potato patch screams volume to those that hear. I look for confirmation that you're never going to use your starting gun....

Locals gaze and preachers praise as a welcome, yet unusual, beaded moisture falls from dark skies at this early hour. Though the mercury reads 60 degrees, the BO currently feels a million miles away from the days of the proverbial endless summer. The views are hardly striking inspiration in the hearts of sliders, as the wind seems to be largely responsible for any shape and shadow at present. How many times before could you tell I didn't care, when you reached out in your sleep, and you knew I wasn't there...

CHANNEL: A windswept swirl of sorrow and whitecaps is all that is offered currently. As day meanders forward, increased water levels may increase your possibility  of a lunch buffet, but where the soul seeks meat-n-three, our mother is making soup-n-salad. God only knows what I'd be without you.


PATCH: Even as a trio of seekers is seeking solace from the grey and gloom, one must understand that they must acquire the stoke from within, as there is little to sustain a slider's needs. A gridlock of windswell has hopes backed up for miles. Step outside, it's coming down in sheets. The district sleeps alone tonight.

A blanket of fog lies over us this morning but not holding in much heat. Temperature currently peaking at 60F. A slight breeze keeping any warm air away. Bundle up. We say farewell to our wonderful swell that came to visit during the week. Small day but gems of a crystallized nature can be sourced.

CHANNEL: Consistency is the only thing keeping the shockingly large crowd wanting more. Small sets at thigh high. Rides can be long if you hold on tight.


PATCH: Unseen and un-ridden. The Patch is not visible at the moment but rumors of nothing spread through the town. Not where you want to be though the mystery holds much intrigue.

Starlit morning giving way to streaked skies of impossible colors.  A bit of onshore flow has a fog-bank perched on the far horizon and beach temps crack the dial at 59F.  A fervor of false faith begins in earnest as SW swells ease and select NW gradients fill voids in our lives.  Temperamental conversations yield new knowledge and reinforce the hierarchy in dawn's early light.  Oceanic rumblings will work for food but the nourishing water levels remain sub-optimal.  A few extra gallons deposited here and there should perk spirits and enhance enjoyment exponentially. 

CHANNEL:  Leering and lurching peaks in knee deep water make for point and shoot lefts across shallow bars.  Leave the aperture wide open and burn all bridges while gliding aimlessly towards shore.  No turns just latch on and let it rip.  Micro pikes of a peculiar nature.  Wave-magnet Pete and 1 professional amateur making mountains out of molehills with those that connect the dots leaving wide grins on mugs.  Ebb tide pushes and pulls all the while trying to delineate the zone.  Incoming tide will provide the Jah Push required to move logs with largess.

It is through fog covered lenses that we view the world today.  Hazy and lazy times as insta-locals linger and swells fade away.  Though temps shall again soar high a morning reprieve reminds us the fall is fast approaching.  A salient calm envelops and only early whispers can be heard through the mist.  There are still billowing breakers to conquer though best slayed on a longer sled.  Slides can be achieved at all points on the map.

CHANNEL:    
Left leaning peaks that show glassy approaches in the budding low tide.  Guesstimates run wild in evaluating size but shape and consistency does have planks perpetually moving shore-ward.  Likely will benefit from more water during the later part of the morning but the NW windswell has advantages of unrivaled bathymetry on these expanses.

A cooling mist has dawn humid and mild as inertia reigns supreme.  Though mobile locals continue to occupy Bolinas there are quite the number of migrant sliders looking to get their last licks in and therefore parking again remains thin at this early hour.  A lessening of activity upon the buoys has things back down to a normalized level but waves of significance can still be unearthed.  Blending swells remain as SW and NW coalesce forces to keep things real for those with purity of character.

Morning descends as do the masses this fine day. Even in the long moments just after dawn, the foam and glass sparkles in the fine light, as several dozen of your friends and neighbors seek slides and satisfaction. The crowds are surprisingly warranted, as there is reason for celebration. Multiple recreation and transportation opportunities are yours for the taking. Sell the house, sell the car, sell the kids. Get here and get in.

CHANNEL:   Already a swirling miasma of fish, egg, and log, as Mali-Bo is taking all seekers at present. Lefts approaching the heights rarely observed at this time of year careen towards the shore with reckless abandon. Why not huck your own carcass upon them? 


PATCH: The dozens have gathered and paddles are aplenty. Those with tales to tell jockey for position and seek that to which they have deemed themselves entitled. Slides measured in yards, not feet, are the current state of the union. Double-overhead and pumping? Not quite, but wait until the telling with pint in hand. An unyielding calm at this early hour, as much of the merriment and chaos of previous days has subsided, though the heat has not departed with it. Highs approaching 90 degrees will have nerves frayed and tempers short as day grows long. Tides still on the rise as the starting line-up is reaching capacity, and parking is alarmingly short. Opportunities are still on the menu, though made by a short-order cook, and perhaps not the same chef as over the holiday. The soul can still be nourished by simple foods, however, and the mind driven towards a slider's madness. How many facts? Zero.

CHANNEL:   A peeling left of mild consequence is being shadowed by a steadfast trio, who are more than willing to deal with the dragging minutes between sets as the rays break over the ridge. Keep the focused lens on the bar as the hours pass, as outgoing rhythms should benefit seekers in the long run.


PATCH: Though not the huddled masses of the past 72, a mild bunch has gathered seeking salvation. Legends in their own minds, logs fly hither and yon as waist-high monuments of indulgence are plentiful. Consistency is key, and alarms have been set. Get here, get in, get out. How much poetry? Heaps.

Early morning swell has us on our toes. A beautiful sunny Sunday is upon us. Breathtaking sights and conditions will keep you wanting more. Parking is already non existent and the water is exceeding maximum capacity. Get in / Get out before it's too late, which it already is.

CHANNEL:  Oddly enough water looking good though small. Bob and weave through the chaos to find your destiny. Waist high and feeling glassy. May not last all day so come and get your kicks.


PATCH: Waist to chest high sets strolling in and looking even glassier. like the Channel, might need to get your hands dirty to catch what's rightfully yours. Promising consistency here so come get yours.
