Bats cheep and chirp as positive premonitions abound in the definite dark.  Re-united East coast acquaintances plot and plan for early surgical strikes.  Lesser trending NW swell still has capacity to propel forth with rising tide providing a supplemental push.  Temps rearing up to 52F now with plenty more warmth in store for the weekend.  Parking already becoming thin as nerves fray in the frantic dash to reach the water's edge.  Pause and let the day's beauty permeate and infuse your inner being so that only positive energy flows.

Early activity as hunter seekers double down in an attempt mine stoke in the cool of the dawn.  Rising tide with negative light has benefited the vampire crew as large NW swell culminates today.  Winds remain cooperatively anesthetized and ocean surfaces take on a morning sheen as the sun crests the hills.  First returns show a temp of 47F that will soon be a distant memory as predictions boast 70F at best.  Customary creatures emerge during normal hours and pull fragile foam from roof and bed.  Endeavor without expectation and you may be pleasantly rewarded.

Ostensibly endless rays pour down and fight their way through the early morning cloud cover. Though temps hover in at 49F that number will soon climb as the winds lay dormant and a glorious day unfolds.  Solidified NW swell is upon an ocean full of tide and a premonition circulates among those getting suited and booted.  The bell tolls now for those hoping to salvage stoke and rewards as the outgoing tide will take as much as it gives.

CHANNEL: Less revealed sand as tide holds steady in the early hours. CHANNEL: Exposed beach becomes dog park becomes fishing pier as everything happens at once, yet is seemingly stretched over many moons. A zone only of ghosts as shape and shadow are not observed. PATCH:  Oddly, the buzz and vehicle count hardly bears a resemblance to actual water activity,  as only a half dozen watercraft are seen enjoying inside rights of some merit, not size, mind you, but they are holding and folding. Foggy and gloomy is the morning. A thick layer of fog lingers in the air keeping the town damp. Last nights rain seemed to have left, until it started again. Possible showers throughout the day but not much to surf anyway. Low tides remain in the negatives leaving endless beach exposed. 


CHANNEL: Ankle biters and shin kickers are all that live in this area. Tide is too low to help any kind of swell that remains. Currently no inhabitants.


PATCH: A graveyard appears as all rocks are exposed. No bigger than shin high and no speed. Luck is nowhere.

Plausible precipitation as light rain falls.  The drafts remain very light lending a grooming hand to smooth ocean surfaces.  New NW swell blends graciously with a remaining SW undulation and the offspring yields the opportunity for stoke and slides.  Though current water levels have retreated to negative there are still signs of life and lift - with some for all and all for some this damp dawning.        



CHANNEL: Stare not deeply this direction for the bottom exposure is greatly exacerbated.  Churning currents seek depths not available and the frothy exchange reads like bad poetry.  Fear not as a solution lays on the horizon and will fill all crevices and cover sand and stone within a few hours.  For now think of what was and may soon be.  Try Wait has never been more true.     
       


PATCH:  From the darkest depths and deepest journey comes the emergence of slippery slopes.  With all rocks laid bare on this very low tide one must first conquer fear and then traverse distance.  Well outside lays the open arena where all the action is centered and distant hoots echo.  Circumnavigate the inside obstacles and put your shoulder muscles to good use in order to find the rides you seek.

Plummeting temps and a palpable low signals and end to the heat along with a meteorological and metaphysical change.  Deep overcast and lingering fog though winds remain light to slack in the early hours.  Sub-minor energies from the ocean in concert with sub-sea level tides leaves little current opportunity for watery pursuits.  Mind the changing weather, as it likely holds the key to coming options.

Low level clouds and solemn vibes as the Okie from Muskogee seeks sanctuary above.  It will take mighty outlaw efforts to find stoke and satisfaction this daybreak as some SW winds have landed to invade our space/time continuum.  Only minor swell offerings and promises of balmy temps are the current draw.  Wide swaths of bared beach reveal a canvas worth exploration and deeper looks.  Luncheon buffet may tender savory treats but for now the menu remains a mystery.        



CHANNEL: A lost duo wanders in seemingly aimless circles as depths deceive and dissolve with nothing left to the imagination.  Revealed shoals do not bode well for wave manufacturing with the limiting factor being complete lack of water and minimal swell.  Bathing and bobbing may be the preferred activity of the day.      
       


PATCH:  Unburdened rocks divulge all secrets as exposure remains complete.  Averted eyes can tell no lies as the playing field remains in ruin and respite.  Most mighty seafaring vessels remain in port as low water levels leave all options open for interpretation yet closed for action.

A new dawn fades as if a rainbow through curved air as heavy zephyrs leave a debris strewn landscape upon a sleepy village. Wanderers wonder and pace on exposed beach and anglers seek purchase in the sea's bounty. A lulling tide makes it way slowly in at present, bringing minimal shape and shadow. The post luncheon hours hold the most promise for stoke, as well as the promise of the first glimpse of summer, with temps expected to approach the mid-80's. Let the zephyrs calm, and the waters recede, then begin the journey.      



CHANNEL: A trio finding less of a paddle and more of a stroll, as shallow waters leave room for silt and sand to migrate. Small shapes are being chased, but it seems largely the thrill of the hunt is the motivating factor and shoulder reactor. We lay in the flat field and seek visions of future dances.      
       


PATCH:  Rocks, docks, and aqua socks, as souls weave paddle and voluminous seacraft into barely there lefts. A crop of familiar faces seek spaces and places as the waters around them slowly ebb. Look for this to be the domain of seekers throughout the day, as warming temps are so often confused with epic rides and slides. Seek your Inca gold!!

The tide is out and so it the sun, making lots of room for beach access.The roads are packed and parking is nil. Looks like summer but still a bit chilly, but high hopes remain for high heat.


CHANNEL: Small ramps build up to waist high but max out there. Most commonly seen is the thigh high roller attended by 2 or more bodies eager to catch a ride. Low tide not leaving very much water but may be better when the tide fills back in.                                 


PATCH:  This seems to be the most popular destination, with consistent thigh high waves coming in decent speeds. Rock exposure during low tide but again, with more water comes more possibilities.

Lingering and languishing NW swell greets an emerging SW swell and a morning high tide on this day full of wonderment and natural phenomenons.  Dawn dark riders and weekend sliders pull out their trusty quiver and race full throttle to the water's edge.  Some expectations are met while others show their disappointment and frustration at non-EPIC conditions.  Cloudy skies may make for blurry eyes as the true beauty has yet to be utterly revealed.  Cast no doubts and aspire to heightened awareness as we head into the future upon a journey unknown.   



CHANNEL: Boat ramp thumpers and shorebreak dumpers welcome you to the beach.  A sign of energy or poor directional aptitude as it feels like spyrographic angles do not perfectly align this morning.  Channel lefts are working under better occupational conditions with sandbars being whipped into shape while still taking their mandatory coffee breaks every 15 minutes.  A more worthy direction to consider today though mind the current as tides are currently heading lowwww.

CHANNEL: An emerging NW swell of adequate proportion has a revolving left leaning crest attempting to spin off un-noticed.  While shape is foundation-ally faulty it goes unchallenged as only a solitary sentinel battles amidst foam and froth.  If you seek respite from the hordes then this locality will be to your liking.  Drop in and drop out.                                  



PATCH:  A holding SW giving the people what they want and what they need.  Varnished surfaces under clearing atmosphere shows a stacked lineup heavy with log-jammers.  Spreading from well inside to the farthest outside reaches peaks do pop and continue running right with sliders up and riding at all levels.  Size is a relative measure depending on your location and countenance but sufficient energy exists to put this destination on your list.

Flat-lined gusts bring a respite calm though waters do have a chilled touch.  Clearing skies full of coastal shadows as the day unfolds.  Temps hover at 55F and most things feel alright.  An ocean percolation in the emerging stages and the anticipatory sliders get the rewards.  With tide draining out the goods have mostly been got but the afternoon holds secrets yet to be discovered. 



CHANNEL: A minor gathering gropes for purchase as small NW wind-formed peaks rise up with cresting aspirations.  Much manual paddling stroke is required to mine stoke today - but do not be deterred.  Unhinged lefts and rights of diminutive stature will have you up and riding for feet rather than yardage.  Lessening water levels will subtract from the energy so it should be now or much later.                                



PATCH:  A glassy countenance along with a S swell in the building aspect has attracted the lion's share of hopeful sliders.  Though inside rock and sand are in high proportion the outside rollers reveal their capacity with the deeper waters.  Rights to revel in with smooth, dark faces and heights beyond waist high.  The crew rejoices in the opportunity to trim the day away.

Though a rising tide does indeed raise all boats, it may not be of much benefit to those seeking solace and stoke from blue seas today...

PATCH:  Jutting rock and shallow depths welcome the brave, the few, the insistent at present. Shapes barely scraping shins and knees are observed, and struggled with by the aforementioned tag team. It is sometimes the mere act of doing that must bring meaning to action, as conditions leave much to be desired...

If you are in need of a new suit or board now is a great time to shop. We have all the gear for your cold water surfing needs.
