Daily Surf Report - 10/1/2010

Sun is completely out and shining as of 9:45am.

Welcome to October - the official kick off to Fall. We have some coastal cloudiness but no fog today. The temps are mild and there is currently no wind. There are some patches of blue sky showing already and the sun came out yesterday before noon.

We still have the NW swell with some juice in the water. The Channel / Groin has some good lefts that are fast and somewhat hollow in the shoulder high range. It is shortboard-able in the Channel and a HP longboard works as well. The Patch is breaking outside, midway and inside as well and is a bit smaller but still in the waist high + size. There are also a few pieces of surf starting to form out front of the boat ramp area. When some sandbars form we could have some Fall surf here as well in the future.

Just a reminder to pack your trash!!! PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.

Tides:
High - 7:47 am 4.3'
Low - 12:06 pm 3.3'
High - 5:58 pm 5.5'

We are now open daily from 9am - 6pm for our summer hours through October. Come out to rent if you need gear. We have a full selection of suits, boots, boards and SUPs to rent every day and are only 522 steps to the beach.

Come by the shop to view our new Fall inventory of boards and wetsuits. We just re-stocked the rack with everything from fishes to classic longboards and hooded wetsuits, booties and gloves for men and women.

We have new wetsuit models in stock from O'Neill - Psycho RG8 and Rip Curl - Core Insulator with hood for men and women so take a look if you need a new suit for the Winter surf season.

Also, check out our new run of clothing as well from Jack's Happy, Ando & Friends, HippyTree, Carve and Singlefin. New shop stickers are in just in time for Halloween!
