Daily Surf Report - 7/28/2011

Sunshine!! at noon.

Morning mist, foggy, light winds this morning. Current temp is 56 F. minimal swell activity but some waves to longboard in town.

Channel: Surf is at the knee high to almost thigh height. Ocean is lightly textured. Working a bit on the deeper bar and also inside the Channel. 5 surfers on longboards so far.

Patch: Patch is surrently flat. Hoping to see early signs of a south swell later today.

Special Event:
David Vernor, the man behind Vernor surfboards, will be in the shop this Saturday, 7/30/2011, from 11am to 1pm. This is a great opportunity to talk boards and design with a great shaper. You can work out a custom order or browse the rack of in-stock boards. We have Mini Simmons, shortboards, hybrids, eggs, Mini-Mals, HP longboards and Classic Noseriders in the shop. Always hand-made from start to finish in Santa Cruz.

If your are in need of a new suit or board now is the time to pick something up as we are fully stocked with new gear. The rack has everything from Mini Simmons, fishes and eggs to classic longboards. We also have plenty of wetsuits, hoods, gloves and booties for your cold water surfing.
