Daily Surf Report - 1/22/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself." - Anna Quindlen

Buenas dias surferos todos! It's a wonderful sunny but cold morning here at the beach. The temperature is a somewhat teeth chattering 40 degrees, which makes the water temp about 12 degrees or so North of that. Still, it's supposed to warm up nicely (again) by late morning/early afternoon... which, sure that's all fine and dandy BUT, we need the rain, people! This weather pattern is totally 'screwing the pooch' water wise, so lets keep hoping/praying for rain.
Oh, right.... Yep. Still a swell in town too. So, while you're praying for rain you can slip & slide a few waves while you're at it.

CHANNEL:  Waist-to-chest-to head high AGAIN! That outside middle bar is holding court yet again in both directions (left & right). The size and shape varies but there is most definitely a peak for which to glide or rip upon. Shorties and logs are on it now. So, get off of your butt and make like a hockey player and get the puck out there.

PATCH: Noticeably smaller than yesterday as the Patch is throwing down waist (+/-) sized things that are still sectioning along with the lumpy mashed potatoes rides. Yes, it's still drunk and jumble-y but it's breaking way outside, in the middle, as well as well inside of the Clam Patch, Snags and Green/Africa (in which, I'd like to say that it was an honor to finally get to meet Kit Africa yesterday here in the shop. Awesome!). As I stated yesterday and will reiterate today, it may be a lumpy ride, but it's a ride none-the-less. The usual assortment of logs and janitor gear making the Wednesday morning meeting complete.
