Daily Surf Report - 12/10/2014

Inspirational crystal quote of the day:
"If a victory is told in detail, one can no longer distinguish it from a defeat" - Jean-Paul Sartre

Grey skies, a fine mist, 58 degrees and an air of menace permeate our wonderful village this morning. Only one brave, yet visibly frustrated soul, shared the waters this morning, as this horizon showed only the dark silhouettes of SUPs and an approaching storm. If there is any sliding to be found today, it will be before the tide comes in, as the system only moments behind brings only the possibility of danger. Make note; we are all merely flesh and bone. Be careful out there....

CHANNEL:  Already beginning to show the ill effects of higher water, though the watchful eye may catch a glimpse of an errant chest high roller, though they are few and far between. As the winds will not work in in our favor today, dawn patrol may have seen the best the channel had to offer.

PATCH:  Marginally torso high sets marked with periods of shapeless whitewater as the paddlers seem to have right-of-way this morning. Though from the shore conditions may have seemed a reason for optimism, a darker mood prevailed in the breakers, as the illusions of promise dissolved. Hunker down, with all of the preferred supplies, my friends, and let us hope the bark is worse than the bite.
