Fox trots and seals swim in an early calm soon to be shattered. A still coolness to be relished in the moment with temps standing at 68F and no winds. A last hurrah of summer starts now with cars streaming in and creative parking in the works. NW swell eases back yet still seeks an existence on the higher tides. Steeper S has wilted in the heat and provides less nourishment but more serenity in the flaccid waters. Ocean is warm and wetsuits seem optional. Daytime tides are high and higher so look twice before you leap and act with some form of determination.
CHANNEL: Lazy lefts in the early light are at once empty and then congested. Dawn patrollers making a slow start but now here en masse +. Knee high petite ramps that are best tackled on longboards have some growth capacity with the pushing tides. Expect crowds and then some but realize the ocean is free and welcoming to all.
PATCH: Brad, Larry and all Logjammers will post up for the day and find the furtive rights that eventually will appear. Less swell and offset angles make the Patch more of a destination for socialization than recreation today.
