Happy Wednesday. As of 11 am the fog has rolled in pretty heavy (we had sun earlier!). The temperature is 57 degrees. Little bit of onshore wind, not too much.

Bring your long board today, there's a small swell out there with larger surf than the last few days. There's some texture on the water. Most surfers were in the patch with knee to thigh high average sets. The channel shows thigh high average waves with some larger ones in between at the waist and there are 2 surfers over there so far. As of 3:15 pm, I cannot see the surf at all, the fog is too thick.

Happy Tuesday. It's a beautiful morning no clouds in sight. Temperature is reaching 60 degrees. No wind at all this morning.

Bring your longest board today. With the low tide this afternoon, we saw smaller waves and the wind kicked up too. Then later as the tide is rising back up, we see more of the same knee high conditions at the channel, with the patch staying pretty flat. The wind died down too, so we have a nice calm afternoon.

Happy Monday. It's a beautiful morning without a cloud in sight. Temperature in the mid 70s. Some side shore winds.

Great long boarding day. There's a small S/W out there. 1-2' range in the channel with a dozen surfers out this morning. Also 1-2' in the patch with a couple of surfers on that side. There's a bit of texture on the water probably from the wind. As the tide is low this afternoon I'll leave updates here with any changes in conditions.

Daily Surf Report - 11/14/2010

Another beautiful beach morning. Orange, red, purple skies with sun coming up over the east hills. Mild morning air which will give way to warm temps expected to reach 70 at the beach today. Light winds blowing due to high pressure system over the Bay Area. Come to the beach while it lasts.

Waves size has dropped today is thigh to waist high on the better ones.
Channel waves is still nice and smooth but not as fast and racy as yesterday. Good sandbars keep the shape of the left consistent but longboards only today. Seadrift has its good right that is smooth and also thigh to waist high. This is the best wave in town today. Still long rides to be had.

Patch is again rideable but with current high tide not as good as the Channel. Waves are averaging knee to thigh high in size. Should improve as tide turns. Great place to practice and learn today.

Let's get it started early this morning. Clear skies with sun coming up over the east hills. Cool morning air which will give way to warm temps expected to reach 70 at the beach this weekend. Winds from the NE blowing offshore due to high pressure system over the Bay Area. Another beach and surf day today.

Channel still has the nice left that is breaking waist to chest high right now. Good sandbars prevail and long rides to the inside are possible. Seadrift has a good right that is smooth and waist to chest high as well. Lots of surfers in the water today. Waves are smooth, fast and fun.

Patch is smaller but rideable and averaging thigh high. Waves are smooth and rideable on a longboard today. Great place to practice and learn today.

Sun, sun and more sun. Cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Weather pattern expected to hold through Sunday. No wind, glassy. Swell in the water. What are you waiting for?

Channel currently rideable waves that are thigh high and up to waist high on the sets. Lefts are still breaking all the way to the inside Groin and the occasional Mali-BO right with the NW swell. Seadrift right is working as well. Everyone is on longboards today. There is no wind and the sun is shining.

Patch is small with a few SUPs and longboarders out. Thigh high at best but should improve as tide continues to drop.

Happy Veteran's Day today.

Clear and sunny skies this morning. Crispness in the air - see your breath. Lightly off shore breeze. Saw 3 foxes near Olema. Love this morning weather, it just says FALL.

Channel currently has the best waves with waist high lefts breaking all the way to the inside Groin. Everyone is on longboards today. There is a light off shore spray, sun is shining through the waves and ocean is smooth. It is a surf day.

Patch has closer interval waves that are more in the thigh high size. One SUP is out at the Patch right now. May improve with incoming tide.

Daily Surf Report - 11/7/2010

12:45pm - Rain has stopped, sun is out and wind is backing off. Still looks un-surfable. Shop will be closing at 2:30pm today.

You should have been here yesterday. Pissing rain and lots of wind this morning making a mess of the ocean and the day. Might be a good day to ride the mountain bike, take a hike or stay under the blankies and watch a movie.

Channel has lots of whitewater and pieces of surf in the chest high + size. No one is surfing this morning as it is very messy and not rideable.

Patch has lots of whitewater as well and pieces of surf in the waist high range. No one is surfing at this time. Very high tide again this morning will wash things out but the weather is having a negative effect as well.

Daily Surf Report - 11/6/2010

Sun is back and shining bright. Temps are already warming up and the day is Bo-beautiful. Wind is lightly off shore and surf conditions are good today. The Fall energy feeling is in the water today.

Daylight Savings Time is tomorrow. Don't forget to set you clock back 1 hour tonite. Sleep in or surf an extra hour in the morning.

Channel has chest to shoulder high waves with lefts at the Groin and rights in the Channel and on the Seadrift side. Very fun, with a nice push today. Longboards work best but there are fish, shortboards and eggs in the water catching waves. Wave of the day goes to Chris Greene who caught a great overhead left all the way to the beach.

Patch is thigh to almost chest high and breaking on the inside and outside as well. There are mostly rights here but the occasional left has come through. Everyone is riding a longboard or SUP. Very high tide later this morning will wash things out for a while so get it now while it is good.

Daily Surf Report - 11/5/2010

Sun is gone and we have coastal overcast and cloudy conditions. Light fog in town but no wind and mild temps which are making for good surf conditions.

New uptick in swell activity is producing some nice waves with a bit of energy today. There are currently about 20 surfers in the water between the 2 spots in town. Overall fun surf today.

Channel has waist high + lefts on the sandbars and rights coming in at the Groin and breaking into the Channel.

Patch is thigh high + and breaking on inside and outside as well. There are mostly rights here but the occasional left has come through. Everyone is riding a longboard or SUP.

Daily Surf Report - 11/4/2010

We have a gloriously beautiful weather day in Bolinas today. Sunny skies, warm temps and no wind starts the day. Bring your sunscreen as you will need it.

The N/W swell has come down quite a bit but there are still waves to ride on a longboard.

Channel has thigh to waist high rights and lefts. Tide is still coming up so everything is relatively soft but rideable.
Patch is thigh high and breaking on the inside due to the current tide. As tide recedes in the later morning and afternoon surf should improve. Bring out the longboard.

The N/W swell has come down to about half the size of yesterday. We still see a few waist high sets in the channel this afternoon, but mostly thigh high. The patch was thigh high also this afternoon at low tide. Bring out the longboard.

Good morning and welcome to the first day of November! We have a beautiful sunny morning with no wind at all as of yet. Please note our new winter hours begin today--10 am to 5 pm.

Small S/W swell. Surf is glassy, and smooth. There are more surfers in the patch this morning where we are seeing knee high sets rolling through. The channel is around 1-2 feet also. A great day to bring out your longest board.

Good Morning Everyone. Happy Halloween!! Have fun and be safe.

This morning is a beautifully calm morning, the sun is burning through the fog at a good rate. There are lots of patches of blue sky. Looks to be a beautiful day.
There is only a slight breeze out of the West.

There are fun waves breaking in the channel in the thigh high range. There are also nice waves, same size, on the sea-drift side. The tide is pretty high so you'll want a longer board. There are about a dozen people between sea-drift and the channel.

The Patch is not breaking at this time. No one is out there.

Daily Surf Report - 10/30/2010

2:00 pm - wind has died down and reports are there are some fun waves to be had although still a bit bumpy.

Today we have overcast skies with moisture in the air but not raining currently. Wind is unfortunately side shore / on shore and swell has dropped. Temps are mild and there are patches of clearing sky on the horizon.

Channel has dropped and the lefts there are in the thigh high range. You will need a longboard to get you into the waves today. Wind is making it sloppy.

Patch has some waves that are also thigh high. No one is in the Patch right now and a few people are suiting up to give the Channel a try.

Tomorrow is Halloween so bring a costume to surf in. Most people meet in the morning around 9am to get dressed and hit the water. Lots of fun and interesting to watch as well.

Daily Surf Report - 10/29/2010

4:15pm - Closing Early. Wind still light and there are waves.

Yes we have rain this morning but it has brought with it a new dose of swell and the winds are offshore at this time. There are slight clearing skies to the East. We may close early today if it doesn't clear up so check back for updates later.

There are currently good surf conditions regardless of the weather so come out for some good waves this morning. Tide is mid all day so if the wind cooperates there should be waves throughout the entire day.

Channel has groomed lefts that are shoulder to head high. HP longboard will get you into the waves easily but there are a few smaller boards in the water as well. Wave is fast and racy and breaking to the inside.

Patch has rights that are waist to shoulder high. There are longboards and 2 SUPs in the water and the waves are groomed but the wind there as well.
