As light mist coats the set, streams of light beam through with a softer touch. Though some may venture into the green, some turn is expected. The ones who encounter the well tamed beast are the ones in play. They find their way and there is always something for the taking, might it be a small right or less than a left. It is amateur hour for the ones looking for what cannot be found. The overly tamed beast has been put to rest and though some may believe she is at bay, others venture to prod the mild animal.

CHANNEL: Thought the usual crowd is absent, one soul is left to ponder thoughts. Much like a slight roll, not much has been taken. Though there could be promise in the future, many disagree with what is given. Odd looks are thrown from face to face wondering about decisions and what could be done to make this a possibility. Wishful thinking is not always the answer.
                  

PATCH: As majority rules, there are always the regular pack. Though rights and lefts feed only portions of the queue, may are left to question the future. The people play, and few take the opportunity seriously. Though the longest logs feed the hunger, many are left to wonder.

Thick fog and swirling mists as many gaze Westward into uncertain futures.  Furious scrubbing and much haphazard rubbing of wax upon planks in the wee hours of the emerging morn.  A multitude of factors conspire to confound and confuse while also configuring some stoke for the day.  A day of chilled temps and cherished moments as one door closes while others open.  NW and SW swells combine forces though sideways winds do wreak some disorder.  Incoming tide has water levels set for play and the masses and multitudes descend.  Find your alignment level and do let your conscience be your guide. 

CHANNEL: Incoming tide and NW energy has sliders and riders on high alert as a narcotic landscape comes in and out of focus.  Patches of light reveal lefts of merit if what is seen can be believed.  Mysteries morph into reality or do they?
                  

PATCH: A lost head count as numbers duplicate and multiply in less than ideal illumination.  Substitution patterns keep fresh bodies coming in waves and seeking the same.  There is plenty for the taking and more if you ask nicely.  Captain my captain, I'll follow you anywhere.

Gentle winds blow among notions and sundries as a mix of fog and sun dance upon rolling breakers in the hours of the long morning. Chakras align, as breath is taken in, and maligned as it exits at the axis. A bit of an unwelcome chill hangs on by its nails, and the promise of summer seems like a fabrication. Line-ups in sizes of fair-to-midland are the new normal, and today is no exception. To tell the truth, this could be the last time, so here we go, like a sales force into the night....

CHANNEL: Higher tides prevent all slides as only lure and hook find footing on rippling peelers in the mist strewn light. One could stare into hypnotic seas until the mere idea of eternity seems comical. In a seashell, you thought you heard human voices, but they were only echoes...
                  

PATCH: The 25-man active roster is in uniform and has taken the field. Paddle in hand they row, row, row their boats. Waist high and bone dry as loggers cross and weave through the air  we breathe. As tidal situations ebb and flow there will be highs and lows, but these only reflect the two sides of the mirror. I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one...

As an un-tethered sun shines down upon a village still, the temps have already begun to climb. Summer is here and the time is right for dancing in the streets. Salty dogs upon barnacle-encrusted logs seek justice and fulfillment in these early hours. Local legends and those that revere them dance on sand strewn concrete and assess potential for undress and redress. Look left, look right, as both views offer line-ups to spare. Shapes of lore have long since passed, but with the right kind of eyes, you could find stoke. It's all over but the shouting....

CHANNEL: If one has time, and seeks the beauty of motion and action, one might find satisfaction. Slight rights meander and weave over uncertain futures and fishing line. It must just be the colors, and the kids, that keep me alive, because the music is boring me to death.
                  

PATCH: A virtual squadron and a moveable feast seeks slow slides and log rides. Patches and packs seek rights that move at a snail's pace. The odd set shows promise, but promises can be broken, and hearts dashed upon craggy reefs. I don't see any method at all, sir.....

We offer sun salutations as we ponder morning ruminations on our own ruination. Sunny skies promise summer heat and the pounding of booted feet atop hot asphalt. Already there are bodies here and there as suits are yanked and fin keys cranked. The seas offer hardly the stuff of legend, but that will likely matter little to the charge of the light brigade. Slide and deride will be the name of the literal and figurative game as day unfolds. Once more into the breech!

CHANNEL: Mid-tide vectors show a hint of promise, but with the waters still in retreat, that promise will exist past the luncheon hour, as we find ourselves haunted as the minutes drag.  Expect the thrashing of youthful exuberance and many a boogie in the rollers and ankle scrapers.
                  

PATCH: The battalion fights the good fight among the chilly breakers already in the early light. Rides of merit and consequence are being had, though one should temper one's expectations, as logs and log-ins are required, and it appears some have forgotten their passwords. Far outside a queue forms, as tickets are punched and some have packed a lunch, and anticipate the heavy stuff won't come down for quite a while....

Heady holding steady as a renewed dose of S swell feeds the masses and combos up with adequate NW windswell.  What winds do blow are directed offshore and are as likely to cause ripples as they are to skillfully groom. Parking remains at capacity while tide reaches a most minimal level and then goes below.  The journey is worth the effort and the dividends will put smiles upon sun baked faces.


CHANNEL: Lefts that drain and dredge upon open sandbars as a shifting of currents yields unexpected results.  No water is no problem until you hit bottom which comes fast and frequently upon negative tides.  A few risk takers and fist shakers brave the shallows in hopes of finding just one magic moment of temporary tubular time.


                 
PATCH: Again we find the S swell finding purchase and placement upon these reefy waters.  Low water levels means a rather lengthy paddle past rocky outcroppings to reach those that congress to slide the morning away.
Ninety miles an hour, slidin' on grease. I got my doubts we'll make it in one piece. Just takin a ride. We're takin a ride.

Silent zephyrs and careless whispers as we greet a rippled horizon.  Sun baked and wide awake with early risers whisking swiftly across ocean surfaces solidified by SW energy.  Though tidal tendencies are of the negative persuasion, the siren call of Mother Ocean beckons.  Parking lot conversation and activity signals a heady troop is set to invade this hamlet by the sea.


CHANNEL: Dangled lures and mangled sandbars and no water exposes all too much of the beach.  Still yet a left rears and spins in the shallows and the entrance exam is being undertaken with youthful exuberance.  More water will be a worthy addition though there seems to be something worth exploring especially for the prone personnel. 


                 
PATCH: Lather, rinse and repeat as a SW swell of worthy magnitude deposits all contents upon these shores.  A jaunt to the far reaches will get you admitted to the show and the band is warming up and playing all the classic favorites.  Go right with chesty breakers or veer left for languishing journeys into the unknown.  A fine mix of aquatic crafts are unleashed this morning and the crowd feels thick with both number and expectation.  Take your number but feel free to jump the line.

Another sunny morn as a village forlorn only begins to rise from slumber. Only steadfast stalwarts get suited and booted in early light, as the tide sinks, sinks, sinks. It appears that the Underhills have neglected to pay the power bill, as the lights are out and there's no one home. Logs and troggs seek purchase from the meager menu, but largely find themselves wanting. The mere suggestion of a NW swell is only that...




CHANNEL: Too hot to handle? More like too cold to hold as beach combing is being taken to new extremes. Anglers far outnumber even early yogis as lake BO does a dance of sixpence and emptiness round the May(groin)pole. As the past days have shown, it will take an influx of the blue stuff to make slides even a possibility. Remember, nobody rides for free.


                 
PATCH: A large and unwieldy watercraft advisory must be in effect, as only shapes the size of formal dining tables float on calm surfaces at present. Paddle in hand they conquer all lands, if only in the ocean of the mind. Far outside rights are the only target in sight, and even those take the will of the traveling salesman. The promise and illusion of summer will bring the crowds, the kids, and folding chairs of all manner and stripe, so expect the unexpected, as we listen to your name, like ice into my heart.

Sunny skies with temps on the rise as the first full day of summer unfolds before us. A little bit country, with not near enough rock n' roll, as ultra low tide vectors have time for contemplation in spades. Did you know "if" is the middle word in life? Campers will scamper as morning becomes long, and those among us after slides may be up against a dark night of the soul. Sloan, I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, dear, but....




CHANNEL: Literally less than zero as mountains are made into molehills at present. Out of gas, out of cash, and out of luck. Nobody listens to turtle...Not even Chandler....

Traverse and slog through heavy fog to find the gift of a sun-strewn coast awaits you. Summer is here, as we seek the blessings of the four winds. Low-tide vectors with only traces of NW swell have observers gazing and sun-dazing, but only in daydreams do they slide. Ankle biters seek purchase among canine companions in these early hours as we hope and pray for the future. Take stock, be thankful, but be aware of the reality on the ground...



CHANNEL: Sandbars dance as sunlight reflections trance those who gaze upon it. A zen-like calm, as anglers have made their way into the fray and hold court many, many feet into the blue. Pathways to stoke are muddled and unclear. Look towards the later hours with a hopeful vigilance. 

                 
PATCH: An early-morning crew of the usual suspects seeks something from nothing. Though one is likely to admire the determination, one also questions the judgement, as only those with staff in hand find forward momentum at present. These are the days, they always have been.

A few tasty waves on this beautiful morning. The sun is out and is heating up the town. There are plenty of surfers out there having fun riding whatever they can to make the trip worth it. In or out of the water you are bound to have a good time. Happy Father's day to all the great dads out there!


CHANNEL: Ankle high waves make it fun to mess around on.  A gift from Poseidon to show he loves you.

A clearing of head-space as the day feels washed clean and resolved to deliver.  Clear and dry and 55F with future highs in store as sun crests hilltops and burnishes the lanscape in reds and golds.  SW energy appears as if a vision and horizontal lines greet at the water's entrance.  Even in the early moments of the day and upon the lowest of low tides a welcome delivery of oceanic energy is clearly observed and felt. 


CHANNEL: Low but not slow and ropy lefts fold over the shallows with narrow windows for entry and even less for exits.  More suited for the mind than the masses at this early hour.  Tide and timing must work in conjunction today if you are going to receive a golden ticket.  Logs with long fins scrape upon sand and shell as fish fillets are sought by those upon the shore and within the sea.  If it's a temporary lull why am I bored right out of my skull?  Like dressing sharp and feeling dull. 

 
                 
PATCH: Clear skies reveal all and much there is to be viewed and considered.  Dispense with conjecture and hit it running.  Well outside the rocky distance markers are where the multitudes congregate to seek and find both those expected rights and even long lefts.  Shapes do materialize and resolve into focus for sliding pleasure.  Truly a few gifts from the deep are being delivered.  I'll tell you what we could do.  You be me for a while, I'll be you.

Misty and twisty with side of gloom as we sing songs from a room. A  mere suggestion of shadow and swell from the SSW has clean spacing, yet meager pacing, and all manner of craft brave the drizzle to twist and swizzle. Bring a log if you wish to brave the fog, as other options will leave one wanting. I guess I should have known by the way you  parked your car sideways, it wouldn't last.....



CHANNEL: Middle tide and with many astride in these early hours. A heady mix of canine tricks and fishing sticks, so watch your line. Far outside from steel pole bathtubs seem the best option as present, and logjammers and those that love them make hay while no sun shines. A continual, yet minimal action should persist...

 
                 
PATCH: A crowd does gather and seeks the universal as small shadows are cast. Clean, with just the correct distance between, as the violent zephyrs of recent memory seem only that. Far outside to all the way inside, small shapes are yours to ride and slide. Take what there is, as this is as good as it gets. Stay gold....

Twinkles amid sprinkles as summer rain gently falls.  High velocity zephyrs have had their way and now remain calm. This respite has allowed for some personal grooming time and coupled with some new and real swell has many frothing and chomping at the bit.  Yesterday is but a faded memory and today is the moment to be seized and squeezed for all it is worth.  



CHANNEL: Moving boundaries as tide and sand find mid-line regions to explore and expose.  Enough W in this new swell to engage the mind and masses.  Sleepers and sweepers roll through with the customary breaker peaking at waist high.  Likely fleeting and soon disappeared so get in where you fit in and mind the no parking signs.
 
                 
PATCH: A bit haggard and tawdry after much bellowing winds yet plenty of peaks propagate this general area.  A journey into the unknown as you forage for morsels and big morels.  Stand tall or lay down today as all are welcome and the offerings are boundless.

The breezes and wheezes of a deranged change do blow heavy this early morn, as we gaze towards uncertain horizons.  Eras end and so we send the suited and booted into chilly waters of questionable quality. As is custom, the usual suspects grumble and mumble and speak of changes in latitude and changes in attitude. So much sound and fury, often signifying nothing. Classic Bo ripples bite at canine knees in monumental breeze. Keep blowing down the road.....



CHANNEL: Wind-chopped and mid-topped as the tide swerves all over the road. Keep your eyes on the prize and await the mythical as the minutes drag. No new tales to tell, only prayers for swell amid ne'er do wells...                                   

                 
PATCH: Ghosts and whispers. Fog and blisters. So this is permanence. This is the way, step inside.Dance, dance, dance to the radio. A silence that creeps into the marrow, and becomes part of the psychic profile, and what is viable is widely reviled...

Bright rays of yellow haze reflect off roof rack and strap slack as parking is already a thing of mere rumor and innuendo. A warming trend has promises of the theoretical "summer" in the air, but a chill hangs heavy at present. Currently clean, yet lean, with perfect space between, and being enjoyed by takers, bakers, and candlestick makers. As an immortal once said; "watch for the changes, and try and keep up."



CHANNEL: Many a rod and reel is on the playing field as mid level water action has anglers in silhouette currently. Outside of the mile marker, mellow sets roll in, meandering as they take their time.  Smiles cross the sun drenched faces of the peanut gallery as shadows stand as shadows can and enjoy slides of some merit. The zephyrs, oh, those pests, they plan on crashing the party come afternoon, and they will raid the buffet.                                           

                 
PATCH: So far outside as to become myth as sliders seek stoke and cruise into clear view as they dance the light fandango. Sets are on a roll of sourdough, and are being savored. The horizon, however, is showing little promise, so be wise, and check the tides...

Hazy grays alter summer daze as yet another morn the seemingly quiet village unfolds. An unsettling level of scuttlebutt surrounds all parking, as bodies turn here and there and enter and exit. The number of sliders gearing up for getting down has little justification at present, as a rare mid-tide vector has observers double checking the charts and hoping against broken hearts. Make your way and join the fray, but mind the zephyrs, as they look to crash the party and make some kind of wonderful, less so.



CHANNEL: Mixed metaphors and mixed messages at this early hour as shore break babies are the only things in motion. That has stopped seemingly no one from venturing into the chilly waters, but it appears that they seek only a spin cycle, or at least a deep rinse. Choppy and sloppy.                                                      

                 
PATCH: A baker's dozen seeks purchase and stoke from meager offerings. Delusions of grandeur seem to be the operational paradigm at present. Hard at work? Or hardly working? Exactly....

Seemingly quiet today despite the hustle to get on wetsuits and spring into the water. A lot of standstill in the water today. Surfers seem to be waiting on something to ride and are looking a bit desperate. Not even a shore break this morning. Looks to be a waiting game if your heart is promised to the sea.



CHANNEL: Strong choppy current at almost knee high.
