Daily Surf Report - 3/28/2013

Mist and drizzle this morning - we'll call is miszle I guess. Not actual rain which may come later but wet skies. Wind is still light and temp is 54F. Still a nice glassy ocean but swell is just remnants at this time with the S diminishing and the NW windswell with not much energy. Incoming tide may give a bit of push and if you have a big longboard there are a few rides to be had.

CHANNEL: Low tide filling in starting to give a little push. Small waves in the knee to thigh range. Surf mainly rights at MaliBo and over at Seadrift as well. Not much energy in the water but there are a few to pick off here and there. A bit of waiting for the last bits of the S to cough up waves but they are out there if you are patient. Bigger boards are the norm today so leave the fish at home.

PATCH: Patch has slowed to a crawl but does give up a knee high + rideable right occasionally. Incoming tide will help and you can milk the wave along until it hits the inside. Rollers at the meeting rock can be snagged but a bit more opportunity mid-way to get up and riding. Smoothness, just not a lot of juice today. Board choice - the bigger the better today.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
