Welcome to April. Starting out hazy, overcast and light rain today. Partially clearing skies with hint of blue showing here and there. Sun is coming out soon! Light and variable S winds. Temp is 55F and mild. A bit of NW swell kicking in and ocean is relatively smooth. If you didn't overindulge on ham, deviled eggs, prime rib, chocolate bunnies and all the other Easter goodies, roll out of bed a get a few waves today.

CHANNEL: A bit more swell today with something coming from the NW. A contingent of surfers in the water hunting the leftover eggs / waves and finding a few to ride as well. Tide is heading to a negative low later this morning so the early bird with get the worm as rocks and sandbars will soon be exposed. Size runs about thigh high and everyone is on longboards which will work best today. More action in the ocean then we have had the past few days so Giddy Up!

PATCH: Tide dropping and rocks starting to show. There are scattered waves out here today and a small group of surfers and a SUP or 2 are on it. Out past the meeting rock is breaking with waves in the thigh to waist high range. Relatively smooth and big boards will thrive here today. If you don't get it now it will shut down soon with the draining tide but keep an eye on the inside snags for a few to ride and mind the boils!!
