Daily Surf Report - 4/3/2013

Full sunshine and mild at 56F.   A bit of NW windswell + small bit of S showing on the buoys this morning.  Not much out there yet but a few rollers to ride can be found.  Looks like a porti-shower has been set up in the lot for an after surf rinse.  Great day for beginners and amateurs to learn to surf!

CHANNEL: Tide heading low and causing quite a rip in the Channel today.  Churned up water and lots of sand in the surf zone.  May be a bit more over at Seadrift but this spot needs more favorable tides to get working again.  What waves come through look knee to thigh in size but shape is marginal at best.  Seek surf elsewhere until the afternoon tide fills in.

PATCH:   Mini rollers about midway and through the Snags this morning.  Clean, glassy and breaking right along to the inside.  Size is only about thigh high but there is enough to get a longboard or SUP going and there are a few out there now.  Bottoming tide will expose the rocks so watch out and have fun.

PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Respect the Beach.
