Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition." - Steve Jobs

Storm driven combers under clearing skies with winds whipping up a riotous combination that confounds and foils plans.  Confronted at the gates by an angry maelstrom of funneled water and bobbing branches is not how most want to start the morning.  Upon the seas things do not much improve as high tides and extra energy continue the rugged conditonsChaotic and unkempt are the words of the day.

CHANNEL: If you can get there safely you will have won the first battle.  If you can find a clean wave to surf you will have triumphed again.  If you can return to the shore unscathed and smiling you will have ascended to the most noble of reaches.  Currently un-inhabited for good reason.

PATCH:  Churned and burned as factors beyond our control make this a watery wasteland.  S swell elements are upon the ocean but too much water and wind have shelved all plans.  A day of clean up and considerable calm will need to descend before this area deserves consideration.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense." - Robert Frost

Zesty zephyrs and strewn debris dominate the landscape both terrestrial and aquatic.  Heaving helpings of watery violence in volumetric doses as far as the eye can see.  Pulsing ocean heavy with swell and tide a sure recipe for disaster and destruction.  Unconfined mayhem upon the seas this morning and looking likely to remain as storm settles in for the day.

CHANNEL: No discernible peaks and only a shrouded and battered pole to signify the area exists.  A fully engulfed ramp hurling sticks and stones makes for a not so subtle entrance or exit field.  Washed out and wrecked in a general senseTheoretically you could break the club record today.

PATCH:
I'm a walking nightmare, an arsenal of doom
I kill conversation as I walk into the room
I'm a three line whip
I'm the sort of thing they ban
I'm a walking disaster
I'm a demolition man

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Never deprive someone of hope; it might be all they have." - H Jackson Brown, Jr.

Ramp dancing in an altered reality as perception defies all logic.  Rainless and windless with a modest temp of 53F to keep the chills at bay.  Supremely high tides still pushing forth and making entrances interesting.  Out with the old and in with the new as a southerly swell starts to work its way up the coast.  Less discord then in previous days though no more organized than before.  Invitations are already in the mail and attire is come as you are.

CHANNEL: An effort to reach and the rewards may be considered negligible.  Pulsing tide trying to illicit action in the Mali-Bo regions while the Groin bars are swamped and overwhelmed.  Exploratory forays are underway and the folly of the journey will be revealed in the future.

PATCH:  An option worth analyzing with a new S swell in the mix yet tall tides stand in the way of easy access and forming breakers.  Upon further review the original call on the field stands - incomplete.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Any product that needs a manual to work is broken." - Elon Musk

Soggy, foggy, and besieged by angry zephyrs, as the rain travels sideways and sidelong. Chaos looms large upon the present shore, and all manner of debris is amongst the breakers. Seek no solace upon them, as any attempt is foolhardy and fraught with danger.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Politics is the entertainment branch of industry." - Frank Zappa

In what has become an unusual sight, a glowing orb brings light and a modicum of warmth down upon us this fine morn. Our friend is not expected to linger long, as clouds hover on the horizon. One observes all manner of motion and fury at present, but a swirling mass is the operational paradigm. The promise of closed educational facilities will likely make for a steady line-up, though one wonders if these students seek divine providence, and if so, the wisdom in such pursuits...

CHANNEL: Here, there, and everywhere as an aquatic ADHD has overcome all potential. veritable gumbo of sand and chaos. A lack of beach and a coming zephyrs make for bad tidings and strange bedfellows. The words of the prophet are written on the subway walls indeed....

PATCH:  Have paddle, will travel, as a heady mix of carbon fiber and molded foam holds forth in the court of the crimson king. A far outside option exists,  though if that is fantasy or reality depends on one's perspective. Lower tidal levels should offer improved conditions, however this is truly a day for tempered expectations.

Grey skies linger from the morning hours and will remain throughout the day. Heavy fog and winds keep us indoors while the sun shines in some other place.Temperature seems to be on hold at 55F.  Do not expect it to rise any time soon.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"I'm thankful to be breathing, on this side of the grass. Whatever comes, comes." - Ron Perlman

Heavy rain and hearts in grief as another mournful morning begins.  An iconic figure and friend to all man and beast has left us for the big wilderness in the sky.  Fluff out your beard in honor and cozy up inside to watch a few hours of re-runs today.  Fog on the deck and S winds causing quite the stir upon the ocean.  A few eager ambassadors ignoring all warnings and signs in search of the answer to the question - WHY?  Let today be one of options carefully weighed and exercised then acted upon with sanity at the forefront. Expected limited shop hours and less than limited surf options as well.

CHANNEL: Current storm rings the death knell for this locale as wind lashed peaks serve no master today.  Unsettled at best and cause for no more than a quick look to confirm the obvious.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"If we open a quarrel between past and present, we shall find that we have lost the future." - Winston Churchill

A new dose of NW swell and clearing skies has sliders slinging suits and scurrying to greet the great unknown.  Intermittent bouts of rain and wind will foil most plans but for now serene and sedate with sunshine as a bonus.  Beach access is currently open to all as morning low tide swings the door wide open.  Sand movement is not optimum to get all cylinders firing so we cough along sporadically in fits and jerks of elation and despair.

CHANNEL: Decidedly discombobulated with most opportunities ending in closeout dumpers.  Sandbars have likely been re-shaped and need a grooming period to settle and smooth.  A thin congregation seeks a solid starting point but is finding little purchase amongst the morning offerings so far.

PATCH:  A more worthy option in comparison to our southern sister though far from a magical dawn.  Light winds are tethered and puff gracefully to smooth faces.  Varied peaks present a motley mix of options with all short-lived and lacking true power or meaning.  A day to adjust perspective and just live in the moment.  Close your eyes and listen for the pin drop.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"While I thought that I was learning how to live, I have been learning how to die." - Leonardo da Vinci

Floaters fished and forgotten and the daily hustle gets its disco groove back on.  Dimpled skies are yielding partially to the sun yet coastal fog lingers and keeps gloom and doom an active reminder.  WNW swell diminishes and dwindles yet still provides the cure for most ills.  Less foreign figures dot the lineups and are nicely spread to allow for contemplative personal space.  Value what you have and give from your heart.  Let the ocean soothe your wounds and do not forsake her gifts.

CHANNEL: Not a deep line up but one that feels at home in less than stellar conditions.  A marginal mash-up of swell directions has all the pawns dispersed randomly upon the board.  Shallow shapes that peak, pop and pretend are allowing for rides, though most remain short-lived.  Easily accessible under current low tides and may be just enough to tempt most to join those currently frolicking.

PATCH:  Mournful and mixed with yesterday's discoveries a reminder of the fragility of life.   Weather washed and tumultuous though early morning winds remain calm.  Uneven surfaces upon which to expend your energy.  Though less water allows entry it may be the cause for the languishing effect.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Nature is man's teacher. She unfolds her treasures to his search, unseals his eye, illumes his mind, and purifies his heart; an influence breathes from all the sights and sounds of her existence." - Alfred Billings Street

Lo, lift your heavy heart, as there is reason to rejoice. A blazing rare sun shines down from the center chakra, as we raise a collective skinny fist to heaven. Bodies scramble into forms of neoprene and rubber and collect foam and form of all shapes and sizes from roof tops and trunks. The most recent storm has passed, and what remains, is however temporarily, bringing smiles to many a slider's face at this early hour. The sun may well soon be covered by darkening clouds, and the tide will most certainly rise, so find the time for escape and respite, and become it writ large.

CHANNEL: A line-up that resembles Malibu, not Mali-Bo, as the 25-man roster is full to overflowing at this hour. Truthfully, some players may have to be sent down, or outright released. As of now, however, a mad scramble takes place for shapes and shadow of a head-high variety. Though not the purest of the form, the size and majesty is enough to push many sliders into the breech once more.  The zephyrs whisper of chaos in the later hours, so listen for rising voices.

PATCH:  In a lonely place, as the patch sits vacant. A bit of tumult and sets with little space between have all of those seeking stoke taking to the clear and clean option. Keep an eye on the larger prize, and an ear to the ticking clock, and look for the post-luncheon hours to perhaps provide nourishment.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"...And these children that you spit on, as they try to change their worlds, are immune to your consultations, they're quite aware of what they're going through." - David Bowie

Downed trees, downed powerlines, and downed Heroes en route to a forgotten paradise. Heavy skies filled with gray and sorrow seem to sit a little lower at present. A crowded gallery of gawkers and hockers sit atop concrete walls and speculate upon uncertain futures. Put on your red shoes and dance the blues. Tides will only rise as morning becomes electric, and it may raise all ships,  but it may also dash all hopes. Planet Earth is blue....

CHANNEL: A distant duo of shadows sit well outside the pale, as a solitary figure upon small craft attempts simply to get on to the court. The four-minute moments between shapes offers much time for reflection and the weighing of options, though few of those yield positive results. The possibility exists, though only in fragments. I, I wish I could swim, like the dolphins, the  dolphins can swim...

PATCH:  Barren and dark, like so many hearts on a morning such as this. An underwhelming mass of sand and miasma. This way and that as the sea birds look on with mocking disdain. Get me to the church on time, indeed....

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"You and I are all as much continuous with the physical universe as a wave is continuous with the ocean." - Alan Watts

Its one of those days my friends. With specific conditions specified for spectacles not seen on this day, yet. The ineffective sun is out of its element with brisk temperatures this morning at 50*F. Warming will happen in possible future scenarios.  Slight gentle breeze gusting hard, causing far from perfect yet still punchy pockets and sections for only those capable of these waves.
(ALL predictions brought to you by Bay Area Weather Center)

CHANNEL: Burning wind slices the air like a Lama with gas, whilst high tides seem to have even drowned the sea life. May have potential but not much else. Bring a short one and check out the shore slam.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Let your soul stand cool and composed before a million universes." - Walt Whitman

Wet and wild as wind whipped terrain casts stark and bleak shadows. Perma-mist fills the air and sea-spray hiss adds to the milieu.  A hearty helping of swell still remains though far from inviting under current circumstances.  A day full of promises unkept and destinations unmet.

CHANNEL:  Howling winds from the S and stratospheric filaments of rain sweep down from above to spoil the party.  Not organized or easily accessible and leaving little to the imaginationOut in front of the Boat Ramp remains a maelstrom as well with hopeful sliders dodging gusts and gales as they attempt to find a glimmer of positivity in the early hours.

PATCH:  A broken seascape mauled by wind causes most to avert their eyes as if witnessing a crime.  Churned and choppy with little semblance of surf and devoid of humans.  A cautious and careful approach if any is warranted today.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance." - Alan Watts

Tempered and chilled out with ominous vibes in the early dead calm.  Ground fog creeps and seeps into the crevices though coastal skies remain partially clear and tinted.  Heaving NW swell delivering emphatic energy that is encrypted and hard to decipher - though some are trying.  Much mocking movement as nothing typical is present upon our waters today.  No resolute course to follow and navigation-ally difficult in general.  Mind the splashers upon the ramps as they strike without warning and will fill pockets and shoes with watery prizes.

CHANNEL:  Heavy helpings with large dumping desires have shifted the focal point to directly in front of the boat ramp.  A measured approach can yield rewards as accessible breakers allow for quick drops and pops with heights up to head high.  Split peaks though challenged and lopsided have even sub-experts diving in and sliding along.  Violent exits may be experienced if you are not in tune with your new surroundings.  Though many are being taken upon the head there are those few open faces that offer a welcome reprieve.

PATCH:  Seemingly lost at sea as no rhyme or reason seems present in the current contributions.  A few wayward sailors have set course for this destination and are meeting with less than mixed results.  Building tide has  the urge to push while crests of consideration elude even the keen sliders. Seabirds swarm about seeking jettisoned offerings.  The whole wide world seems imponderous and free.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstein

Somewhat settled with surf potential on the far edge of marginal.  Clear skies, no wind and sunshine lure while morning tide peaks and sweeps the ramp clean of all terrestrial bodies.  Detritus and battered hopes are all that are left in the wake.  The ocean gives no quarters today yet may take some prisoners.  Find your inner crystal and confirm all objectives.  A small conglomeration suits and boots then attempts entry with quasi-formed intentions.  I wonder if an exit strategy was part of the morning meeting?

CHANNEL:  Deep bombora faces give cause for pause as high tide energy seeks to find an area upon which to unload its cargo.  Much warbled segments will need to be navigated in search of this landing zone.  A general feeling of too much water has most in the look - see mode and few tackling this project.  Jump off the high turnbuckle and suplex the day.  At the very least you will have expended maximum energy on a worthy pursuit.

PATCH:  Slappy hour this morning as no waves moving in one general direction.  A few clean faces give rise to deeper glances but those last steps are a doozy to overcome.  Tide sucks and hucks over the rest of the day so might be worth observation at an undetermined later date in the future.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Consistency is the enemy of enterprise, just as symmetry is the enemy of art." - George Bernard Shaw

Sweet mother of Ted Nugent, side saddle, on a white horse riding through space, its going to be a bit bumpy today. All kinds of hilarious hold downs and hypocritical board choices should and shall be experienced today. Its looking like surf for all the strange creatures out there. The current number of organisms in the water is 3'056'374. Counting no humans present. It's not white capping but the sheep may be out to pasture soon. Surf is up and caution is advised. Slamming on the sea wall with a frothy morning high tide today.

CHANNEL:  Sections if you look hard, but no one shooting this curl or riding this wave. Energy and push if you enjoy to be smacked around a little but its surely a day for tempered optimism. Current is currently moving in EVERY direction. If you throw the young one in, he might not learn to swim.

PATCH:  Great pumpkin in the sky! Its a ghoulish and ghastly time. No ghouls trying to get schooled yet, and with the surf out there not many will embark or survive. Its a setting for a solo paddle battle with Poseidon. I wouldn't wait for the wind.

Inspirational Quote Of The Day:
"Out of the most secure things, the most secure is to doubt." - Simon Bolivar

Oh, how the sea does scream and sing this morning, as debris collects on boat ramps and raging waters seek purchase all the way into lonely avenues. Tumultuous at best, foolhardy at worst, it goes virtually without stating that there are no sliders upon heaving seas at present. The promise of storm and wind lay upon the horizon like a threat. Something wicked this way comes, indeed.

CHANNEL:  Flights of fancy meets Sid and Nancy as an air of menace is the operational paradigm. Chaos reigns and promised rain looms over the groin pole as if already shrouded in darkness. The boatman's call is ignored, and rightly so, as to seek solace in this chaos will bring only tears.

PATCH: While the global market crashes
            As death fill the streets
            We're garden-variety oblivious
            You grab my hand
            And say
            In an I-told-you-so voice
            It's just like we expected.
